Was about time? but it wont really fix much.... Gk condened their selfs =/ and there is nothing to do about it.
If the server resets, most of the "cool" people will get annoyed If the server dosnt reset most of the normal peeps will just leave to mal,un or whatever... Offtopic: Usding, dosnt matter the server, its SAD. |
Most of the GK players play Maloria now.
Once you get past level 40 all there is left is to idle and pk mainly. I quit at level 41, I got bored with GK aswell as I wanted to help Era more. While I was on GK I didn't pay any attention to Era. You have to make the players to keep playing after level 41 because nothing is worth it after that. (At level 41 you can get your god relics (If you are smart),20 base stats,30+phys) All I see players trying to do now is level up, there is no actuall challange to GK anymore. |

You changed your signature, Stefan; I liked the old one more. |
GK has become utterly awful, recently. The kingdoms are poorly, not to mention oft corruptly run, and they're designed to run on a premise that doesn't really work in the first place -- realistically, for a person to be a kingdom leader, they would have to devote a good portion of their lives to this game. ... with some exceptions, this is generally not the case.
Assume then, that if a person in power devotes a good amount of time in their life to the game, that other prospects (Job, college, etc.) become less and less likley. Further, speculate that if one cannot keep a job due to being utterly enraptured into a game, they will begin to search for money IN the game, and we get USD'ing. Eventually, they get flamed half to death because they know how to manipulate the system and get USD. Then, they are either banned, or simply driven to madness by people (notably the same 4, or 5 people) senelessly flaming them on the forums. In essence, the very system upon which GK stands is alot like communism, in that it's a wonderful idea, but it just doesn't really stand up. |
I disagree. I give a thumbs up to all the USD sellers. In fact, I think their great if they can find an idiot who wants to pay money for an item on Graal. I think it's the idiots who value items on graal more then their own money. Because damn.. it's not even like their spending little. Their spending hundreds on 1 or 2 items.
|
No, Nappa, I wasn't disagreeing with USD, I'm just saying that the way the system works, it's an endless cycle of doom for the people who participate, unless they somehow manage to veil their actions.
|
You said they ended up USDing in the end, and people flamed them. I thought you implied that you didnt like USDing(since your threads purpose was to say what was wrong..?)
Meh, it's not really a cycle. How many kings/queens do you really think we've gone through ? I think a king/queen usually last about 8 months. And in total, they do good for about 1 of those months. Basically, people aren't dedicated. That's all. People are interested in seeing things done their way. Hell, I am guilty of that. And not everyones ways are gonna come together. And when the king/queen can't get their way, they begin to get bored and neglect their duties, and stuff. I'm not saying that every king/queen was bad. Certainly not. But I'd say in the past 2-3 king/queen of every kingdom excluding few have been horrible, and underqualified (including those ruling now). I really think we need to see something new. Personally, I'd like to see some sort of smashing of 2 of the kingdoms, then new ideas (I'd really like to see Orcs become a kingdom, though I'm not interested in leading it). What kingdoms really needs at this point: An antagonist. |
GK needs MORE. nuf said

But do you need? "'Nuf said." Excellent... |
it is more than just that people are getting bored, kingdoms is not really attracting more people, nappa is right it needs strong leaders and an antagonist. it has gotten to that there are very rich high level people and low level poor people, the high level people quit playing and sometime keep thier stuff while inactive. the low level people get discouraged, i am not talking about the beggers, but the people who actualy work hard and don't get much done in a day for them, peasants to the rich. there needs to be this huge event, like on val when they released the new one but it has to keep going instead of the same thing happening for days and people getting bored.
|
I think a lot of people will find in Everworld what they were hoping to find in GK.
|
GK just needs a staff... devs and etc. The problem I see is that it takes too long for bug fixes and content to get on GK.

Have you seen what this engine can do? (I work on a 3D server so I know) |
Graal won't really increase the subscription-paying population with Graal3D, but rather hold onto the existing population of that category for longer.
If people go back to old faithful, does that mean they'll go back to a browser-based Zelda Online with a separate level editor? Perhaps... The level editor HAS once again been separated... |
GK is cool for the first 3 days. Then it gets old.
I found the same with Maloria so.. :whatever: |
this is just a big repeat of everyone saying plus a little more, there needs to be HUGE changes in graal, but people won't like it if you start it while they are playing it, kingdoms needs to give 3d competitoin if it is to survive or it will end up like moon and the other old servers that just died out. so just work on it a little everyday or just in free time and produce a new version of kingdoms.
|
Don't worry people, I believe people will return after trying the Graal3D with a 56K modem...If you got a 56K...Don't even try it...I tried..and it lags like AOL Getting smacked around on Command and Conquer Renegade. =/ ( Which is pretty freakin bad...) Stefan needs to make a setting that can be used that..uh..Limits the range in which objects refresh for players, for increased online speed like in Renegade...Otherwise..Laggy with a 56K.
