Slight revisions I would suggest; Format some of the text and icons better. Fix brown borders around icons. "Ice" should probably be "Tundra" to fit with the set. Fix "spellpower" and put the wc icon back, and rather simply replace wc with the value you of your spell ability translated into an equivalent WC. See the flavor text here, and notice the functions of the card. http://www.magictrade.dk/images/kort...ing%20Team.JPG I think I mentioned something about overpowered vs. reasobable cards up above, they kind of take the fun out of it. |
Can you really say "Illustrated by" when all you did was take a screenshot?
Sorry to be technical, but the Illustrated by credit should really be going to whoever created the head/body, weapons and tiles that are in the picture. |

What you're saying suggests that if someone uses pictures from a magazine in a collage, that the collage no longer is their art, but the art of the photographers? I'm sorry, but following that logic, alot of games would belong to the writer of the C++ language, and every windows compatible program would belong to microsoft. That really doesn't make alot of sense. Just because someone else designed something, and you altered it and added it as part of your own art, that doesn't make it their art once it has been altered. I could invert the mona lisa and call it my own creation, Inverta Lisa. Sorry to be technical, but "Illustrated by" is little more than saying "displayed by", and I am displaying this card, so you're simply wrong, both artistically and technically. |
yeah its no big deal. i dont think he is going to go out and print them out and sell them to kids.

On a different note, do you have a link to somewhere I can go to see special abilities the cards can have (i.e trample, first-strike), and what they do? It would probably help if i made more cards. |

Parts I agree with, parts I don't. I am a Magic player and spent time looking at the cards. If you want a card similar to a Magic one, things need to be fixed - all magic/abilities are of same print, be it bold or regular (it's changed some). Trample and your "spell caster" don't need to be different - don't need spell caster part of text. - you used some weird mana that i've never seen in any reason. Nothing even in change - spellpower isn't needed at the bottom, it's attack and defense. - large amount of power. if it's just for show, then looks good |
This isnt meant to be exactly like magic:
I made the spellcaster part smaller because it wouldn't have fit otherwise. So i should ahve just put special then? Ill remember that for later. No one used correct mana types. I know, it was covered that spellpower isnt needed, and i'll change that in later cards. the power amounts werent bigger than most of his, the GK cards if actualyl made will probably have a higher (well technically lower since its AC) average A/D than magic cards would. |

But it doesn't really matter, the cards are just fun collectables anyways. :) |
Many magic cards make up their own abilities, if i recall, that arent listed as preset like trample is. That ability actually makes the card more equal towards the player ones you made, considering the weak AC. The power makes it so it can kill an opposing threat (that doesnbt have firststrike) and not just die helplessly ;).
