It's more of the same.

I dont know what to tell you. I never seen him in a while now, almost 3 days I think. Must be busy doing something. So uh, just wait. :)

LogicBot 11-27-2004 08:00 AM

The "New" Graal players just don't like Graal2001. Bring it up, leave it on until Graal dies. So what if no one plays it.

Emily_Cruddas 11-27-2004 04:31 PM

My question is will it be under the gold server tab again? It could be pretty tiresome for lots of trial players to come and i KNOW some will be so dumb as to ask for help on something you just helped them do.

"i r stuck, help!"

"Just stand still for 30 seconds...count them...and type unstick me"

"how do i do that???"

Someone actually did this and i had the misfortune in dealing with it.

You are mistaken.

http://www.graal2001.com/community/g...php?image=1108

And this is when it was on GOLD.

Myself and Excalibur have toured the various Classic servers asking if people would play.... literally, dozens of people said they would live on it.

If G2k1 is to be released on the Classic tab, and if the proper things have been done to it mind you, then I believe it will have the potential to get 400+ players.

The key of Graal is G2k1, if it is released the oldbies will come back and the newbies will flock to it.

300 on Gold...

You could easily double that. Personally I hope they have to buy a new server to host 2k1

Crono 11-27-2004 08:37 PM

I cant wait until you get a playerbase of 30 after 1-2 weeks, I'll laugh my ass off because of your expectations.

xAndrewx 11-27-2004 10:38 PM

300 players don't even play graal..
max i see on 2k1 is 10 after its been released

Players Online: 663
9/27/04 - 3:42 EST

Nice going

Plus it will be higher then 10 as six people still play it today.

osrs 11-29-2004 07:29 PM

So, are the things going good now? I mean, is there any progress and such?

xAndrewx 11-29-2004 08:31 PM

wow, a one off :whatever:

2k1's died and always will be dead.. like when people got bored after a month when lance and angel was owners.. you people say you'll play but when it comes down to it you'll all just say it's crap from the time it's spent in development.

Hah. Nope.

Stefan went on and added Zurkiba, and then Lance removed him and left a typical, Lance-style note complaining about adding people.

Lance, people wouldn't harass you if you would do stuff. The only time you show up is when something happens related to 2k1; you never actually cause anything to happen.

This is quite tiresome. We could be using that server space for money. Instead it's being wasted by someone totally undedicated.

Kuza 11-29-2004 09:17 PM

Well spoken, Lance and Zurkiba.

I shall unveil my identity to you. My name's Kuza and I've always been committed to Graal2001's development and longivity. I back both of you 110% and give to you my support.

If you would like help with levels and storyboarding then I am your man! Please let me know if you would like the help. I've always believed in G2k1's survival. You can't listen to the rubbish these pessimist feed to you. G2k1 will rise above the ashes!

I don't want to look stupid but don't you people think that Graal2001 needs more different staffs? I'm not saying that the current ones should be replaced, but some new staffs would be good, the staffs are always the same. That'd accelerate the process too.

No. I thought they both explained their points successfully. I was simply showing my gratitude and applauding their relentless efforts. To what caliber this expectation will end at, I do not know. They sure do make it all sound worth while though.

Yes... diversity brings about change. When you have different people in a mix then you have new grounds for fresh ideas waiting to be born.

Based on what I have received so far and seen, I would be interested in having you on the team, if nothing else than to give input. Please send me an email and we can work something out.

That said, I would like to thank those of you who (instead of condemning Graal2001 before it's even had a proper chance at a revival - and, no, it hasn't had a proper chance at one) are willing to take a step forward, rather than backward. "Waste of server space"...I'm even more disappointed in you than I was before, VT, and I was very disappointed in you before. It's cool that you don't like me very much, but I don't think it's too much to ask for you to not criticize everything involving me as a result.

Regarding applications: I received one application from LordMatt, which was already once-before rejected. I'm not going to suddenly change my mind about his application just because I want progress on Graal2001. My standards are unchanging, guys. They're high, and that's tough.

Regarding my online time/activities: I'm currently not online every day. It happens that I have several classes and a busy schedule. I'm on enough to log on dev, to read emails + forum PMs, to answer questions, and to coordinate the actions of my staff.

xAndrewx 11-30-2004 10:24 AM

could you post updates weekly?

How long have you had the server? Honestly, I think by NOW you should have SOMETHING.

And yes to weekly updates.

Please. You haven't been taking any steps, forward or backward.

It's not my fault that 2001 is what I said it is. If you don't like what you're hearing, change it instead of complaining about it.

Besides that, if your standards are so high that they are going to make development impossible, change them too.

You don't have any staff.

zell12 11-30-2004 07:09 PM

Lance has been on alot now and IS doing something. Like he said, he wants people to help -- I know I could use it -- but they are not up to his standards. How can you guys say he is not moving foward, when in fact, he is?

Also, anyone who wishes to help myself with the levels, and you have been rejected by Lance, or you don't think you are to his standards, please email me and i'd be happy to help you and give you tips. Please don't IM me on aim or msn about this stuff, because most of my time online is going straight into my studies or into Graal2001, and i'm only doing this as a favor. :)

My email is [email protected]

Crono 11-30-2004 07:31 PM

excalibur, can you post a sample of what style is expected, etc?

for the better of everyone of course :p

zell12 11-30-2004 07:33 PM

Well, I'm going to have a chat with Lance again tonight, because you and some others have reminded me of some things. So i'll discuss that with him and get back to the forums with a nice description and some screenshots mabey.
That good?

xAndrewx 11-30-2004 07:41 PM

leik wan could help if u ask him

i do agree with vt thouh

zell12 11-30-2004 08:02 PM

Wan is great for getting alot of levels dont quickly, with fair detail. I haven't seen a real "nice" level I don't think. But it has been a long time.

xAndrewx 11-30-2004 08:06 PM

dnt change subject.. im sure if u need him you'll ask.

oh yeah, is there any updates from before this thread? forgot to ask

zell12 11-30-2004 09:06 PM

I wasn't changing the subject, by the way. :p

Also, do you mean like any updates to the server? If so, yes there were. Alot of them actually.

I don't think you'd like me editing your posts. Also, 2001 isn't what you said it was - that was kinda my point. Please return to your hole.

I've spoken with him before. That suffices.

No. I refuse to sacrifice the quality of this server.

Wrong-a-roo, unless Gryffon and Excalibur mysteriously disintegrated when I wasn't looking...I'd better check on that.

It will be on the Classic Tab

Plus we'll have FAQ

That was when it was reopened. every new server when it goes public will have 100+ players on it. They want to see it, but then just like Enigma, Bravo, and beforehand Graal2001, it will fail, and will probably be taken down. so just put it back on tab, leave it up like Classic so you can all go play if you feel like it-but then their'ed only be 30 players max on it, but thats better than nothing.

It won't be back to the way it was, ever. Give up.

Umm, Graal2001 had like 400+ people playing it and it had a constant 100 or so every day. We can achieve that again.

Emily_Cruddas 12-01-2004 04:31 AM

I only quit when i had to buy a new home, comp and whatnot, But yes, i'll be there all day every day to get everything and then some....Maybe even a playerhouse.
