i bought sonic 2 yesterday, i played it for like 15 minutes, went to the gym, played it another 30 minutes after that, and went to bed. heh, i got the game late though.

today i played it for like an hour, didn't make all that much progress, my friends came over and we played NBA 2K1, then we played Sonic 2 (the 2 player sonic races are a lot of fun). My friend let me borrow NBA 2K1, and i played that for a while.

I am only getting this game if it has World Rankings contests. Does it?

i dont think so, a game shoudlnt be able to be beating in 5-6 hours
or at least have online multi or somthing
half life had awsome single player, but i cant even count the hours of multi-player halflife/action/cs/coldice ive played

Sonic 2 was a ok game, good plot, (hyper shadow and super sonic) but if it cant last a week .... :(

I personally really enjoy SA2, (well past the whole Rouge Knuckles thing) I REALLY enjoyed Sonic's/Shadow's levels and what the hell are you talking about with only hitting foreward? have you even played the game!? The missions are better too. no start to finish all the time crap. The ONLY easy foreward holding levels were sonic's first and forest level. Tails and Robotnik's game gets complex and at some points in SA2 the difficulty made me want to play the less frustrating Sonic and Knucles! Plus it's a fun game to play. Even that crappy chao thing's fun this time! I'm not alone on this opinion either. Odviously most of you ppl didn't give the game a chance or are completely biased, but alot of ppl liked it. it is chalenging even in the forest level at 1 point. the reason those video's look easy is because it's being played by a tester. DUH! There going to be good at it. What you don't know is all the controlls reverse with the gravity switch, making killing enemy's next to imposible. Even Tail's levels were chalenging. Basicly, unless you have no life past playing video games and are an amazing super human game player because of this it should be fun. And if you are, you need to get out more. My only complaint's are the anoying psudo rock soundtrack and the quiet voices are hard to hear.
Overall I like SA2 not quite as much as I loved Sonic 3, wich is probobly the greatest game ever. But still up there with Sonic 1 and 2. goes well up there with Graal.

Spyder: i give all games a fair chance. Sure i overexadurated with the forward thing but its mostly true. Come on... the tails levels arnt that hard. But people have there own likes and dislikes and this will never match up to sonic 3

Ok you'e right about it not matching up to Sonic 3, but it's still an awsome game! *begs forgiveness from the game gods for comparing the two* I wouldn't beg if I didn't get into the later Knuckles rouge levels, that's the one bad part that on a 1-10 scale brought it from a 7 and a half to a 5, yes that bad!

I beat the first sonic game over at a friend's house by holding right and pressing jump a million times.
