Why would it cost less to not have an NPCServer...?

I am just assuming that since pre p2p we were not allowed to have them I presumed this was because the cost money or they took more space or something. But I really know very little about them I am just guessing.

Good thread revival XiLe. -.-

Ima layout it out plain and simple:

TRIAL ACCOUNTS ARE FOR TESTING THE GAME TO SEE IF IT WORKS ON YOUR COMPUTER NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS

But if Stefan really wanted trials to save he would of never went p2p to begin with?
If trials are gonna save it shouldnt be on a server like classic. Like already suggested make a world for trials only. Hell, As far as im concerned Trials should only have access to one world to test the importent things.

Moon God's idea is good, but I think the rest of you are misunderstanding the point of a trial account.. :\

:edit: Urbanlegend's bold face is my point..

Tyhm 07-29-2004 12:11 AM

Nah. I like the idea of it going trial-free again. Mind, not You can save, but "You can write down a complicated password to save your progress up to the second sword, at which point you get nagscreened to upgrade whether you like it or not, by which point you should be sold on the idea of paying $20 to have Graal for life." Newbies are happy, Classic's happy, The Upgraded have a lower caste to pick on again, Unixmad gets more money out of the Server Sized Advertisement, everyone wins.

Not a bad idea, Moon God, but -

asking to have a trial saving server is like asking a city to open a area called "Teh Ghetto"

The ghetto is the way it is because of low-income families, now don't get me wrong, I'm not comparing the problems most ghettos have to low-income families, I mean the quality, etc. Can you expect prof. quality on a new b server? I doubt it.

Milkdude99 07-29-2004 01:55 AM

ehh my idea was more for all servers instead of just one server. :shrugs:

DarkShadows_Legend 07-30-2004 04:07 AM

Maybe charge 99$ for the year to allow trials to save on a server? or 59$ for 6 months?
Don't pay then no trials save.

Zero Hour 07-30-2004 04:57 AM

Oh, but I fail to add something, Moon God. I think that classics should only be allowed to play Classic, Era.

ReBorn_Spirit 08-27-2004 01:58 PM

How about you just simply get them a small offline level or two that they can see what graal is actually about..
And then just leave a few notes and stuff in there talking about how graal is like while playing online.

How about not bringing back old threads.

Milkdude99 08-28-2004 07:08 PM

New People of the Forum will tend to revive old threads because it is the first time they have seen the thread old or not.....

Oh my, it's been two or three days... I better post something...
Naaa... I just have been banned for the past two weeks so now I get a chance to respond. Wait a second, what was I going to say again?? Oh wait... I remember. I think Graal would probably be more profitable if they built ads into the interface of trial accounts and allowed them, in turn, to save. I mean, reg could prevent a person from using more than one account when the game has logged a trial account, right?
