Ever try downloading them yourself and checking...? They don't detect Graal as a virus anymore.

David try reading up a few, I told you a new virus definitions list was out.

LegendaryTsukasa 02-25-2004 02:38 AM

Well, my anti virus never picked it up. But then again, I dont use Norton. I use F-Secure, which is much better than Norton. :D Haha ****s =D

Banned.

ZeLpH_MyStiK 02-25-2004 04:14 AM

Wow I read the thread and I was like ok so it'll be fixed sometime. Then I open up GraalShop, not Graal, and then Norton goes Virus Alert! Graal.exe and Graal3.exe has automatically been deleted yadayadayada and I was laughing my ass off on the floor. Then I just went into Quarentined Items and backup items and restored it lol...

Sorry Kat, I didn't have the virus problem so I wanted to hold back on updating my virus definitions until I knew it was fixed.

LegendaryTsukasa 02-25-2004 04:57 AM

F-Scure picks up actual viruses, Norton doesnt =D

...too bad I wasn't talking to you. You generally respond to the person you quote in your posts.

Shove it. What you said applied to me too, so it was only logical to respond.

davidpsy 02-25-2004 07:55 AM

Who cares norton corrected the problem with their virus defs and graal is no longer consitered a virus case closed.

False detection of a Virus in Graal

Here is a status update about Symantec Norton Anti-virus's false positive identification. Today Feb 24th around 3pm PCT, after thousands of complaints, Symantec corrected their virus definitions so Graal EXEs will no longer be identified as Backdoor.Blarul.

Here is the link related to this Virus..

http://securityresponse.symantec.com...or.blarul.html

zell12 02-25-2004 01:33 PM

Yeah I was looking on the site yesterday and read that and posted that it was fine. Anyway, graal is still a virus.... :p

Addon: (they're free!)

Even thinking Stefan would target people like this is.. idiocy! Let me pretend to be stefan in this fictional situation " Woa! hey Unixmad, let's drop a backdoor in out newest graal version, ruin out livelyhood, steal the passwords we already have access to, and then take the time to individually check each trojaned computer, what'do you think Unix?"(all in their language of choice ofcourse) That's basically what you're saying they did, now when you look at it from their point of view it seems pretty damned stupid, now you're thinking 'How could I have ever have thought they would do this, to simpley get access to my computer..?" I dunno... I guess you're pretty stupid too.
