We didn't delete any script, all we did was fix his lagging scripts and turn it readable and lagless.

Which, in some intentions, made him go bonkers and delete everything off the server? There's no doubt in my mind that what he did was malicious; saying that he "lost control" of his project is only a weak excuse.
