It was a joke. Ha ha. What's your sense-of-humor size? 2 1/2?

I have a sense of humor :( I just thought you seriously thought size 14 was huge (it is kind of big, but someone around 6'-6'5'' can wear it just fine, am I right? Or can shorter people pull it off?)

*Gasp*
A new record? It's only been about 9 months since VIP came out... :p

I guess the winds of change have faltered into the gusts of shame.

There's something completely different being done with the guilds, now. I don't know if I am at liberty to say or not, so I won't say the new plan. Just know that one exists. :)

I know what you are talking about. :) Unix should still fulfill what he said though.

Even a crappy guild system would be fine, as long as it's actually working :|
The current guilds better not be affected :[

why don;t they just fix what they have made, before moving onto something new?
i think people who own guilds would MUCH rather just have a simple system that works, rather than something new, that's buggy
:\
i think, in the time that I have played graal, and owned my guild, the global guilds system has only been fully functional 1/3 of the time
-_-

Well, part of the reason is unix doesn't code php very well, if at all.

So maybe someone else should code it x_x

For some reason unix won't give the source to the people who have offered.

Bleh, I don't understand why, since he's dumping it anyway.

Yeah, they should just put in a simple guild system (just letting you mess with your own guild list...changing nicks, adding and deleting people).

BTW, nice sig.

Tseng 09-08-2003 12:05 AM

It'd be a waste of quite a bit of time and effort to make some interim system until the new things are made, though.

When you are Stefan and unixmad, and you don't have much spare time to waste on things, why waste a huge portion on something which will be removed so quickly anyway?

Use logic, cmon. It's not that hard.

I agree. I just wish unix would do the things he says he is going to do and quit jerking everyone around.

how can it be a waste of time when it was one of Unix's "priorities"?
also, we have been waiting for 9 months for this thing to work! i think it would make much greater sence to just fix the current one, and THEN work on new things... i mean, if someone's house is flooded, you don;t spend 3 months, and build them a new house, while making them live in the flooded one till the new one is done. You would fix the old house, THEN maybe build a new house
=/
I think i speak for all guild leaders when i say that all we want is the 'edit member info' option to work! i don;t see what else we need to manage our guild other than that
:\
at least give us the basics, before trying to give us something fancy.

His time estimates are a bit overly optimistic. Big deal. A waste of time is a waste of time - by calling a waste of time a priority, you still are not changing the fact that it is, in fact, a waste of time.

Really? It's not a matter of "Fixing" the current one, man. Strome just didn't add support for a lot of guild functions, and from what I understand his coding is horrible and difficult to understand.

Aside from that, I still ask - why waste time on this, when it is just going to be redone? Why waste time which would be much-better served elsewhere with their very-busy schedules?

Your analogy is weak. Nobody's life or belongings are in danger because the guild system is down.

You have the basics. Be glad you have as much as you do.

all we can do currently is add members
=X
we can not delete members... all we NEED as to be able to add, and delete members... being able to promote/demote is just extra, because if we could delete members, then we could delete them, then add them again as a new rank
:\
still, even if the site was a simple one, where we just could add/delete members, and that was all, and the tags worked, and all that, I'd be happy
:\
