I for one have no idea why str and speed are the same color as overall exp, the background color of the menu itself, and was wondering whether there is a reason for that - or whether it's a pointless coloring.

It has to do with the opacity of the window, it's a bug related to video cards. I experience the same problem.

I bought transferrence today, and using it three times I was filled with Chaos once and heard voices twice... what exactly is this spell there for?^

Also, so far I've seen 2 player glow red for a time... not followers of DianCecht... any idea what's behind that?

Transferrence gives magic to other players. The glowing red usually shows up when someone is blessed by Aengus or uses one of his weapons (it says "your hands start glowing red")

Hm... I follow Aengus but never glowed like that... also, I saw someone glow while praying to Ogma...

.. and yes. Transferrance is used to transfer mana to other players. Runes of transferrance work the same way, but you can use them to transfer mana to yourself and get more mana than your max. If you get too much your head explodes X_X

so in reality I have no head >,< seeing as that's happened to me.

I mean they visually glowed red, no message - I couldn't take a screenie, but I will when I see it again... a red glow. No message...

I've never seen or heard of that. Please do take a screenshot the next time you see it.

I know a possible explanation. Well, lots of times people have the "flaming farts" disease or something similar. Anyways, when people are simply standing there, the flame isn't exposed and all you see is the red glow. If the person wasn't moving and they just started glowing, that's a likely answer. I've heard lots of cases of it with Ogma for some reason. Hey, I could be wrong :)

Hey, since this is the info. request thread, I was wondering, how does one buff? I know it involves rings and such but I don't really know how to do it and I was wondering if somebody could explain?

You find equipment/rings with -stats ( it could be a dex+1 str-2 ring, or armor of woe, or whatever), then you cast stat spells (having lowered stats brings them up higher than they normally go) then finally put on your good equipment

and it case you might want to know, the formula to find out how much you get from the stat spells (strength, constitution, dexterity, charisma) is 20-stat/2 rounded up, so having 10 strength would get you +5 from the spell, but using a str-2 ring bringing you to 8, then casting would result in getting 16 strength instead of 15.

Has anyone seen a ring of doom lately?

Thanks for the info, I understand how to buff now. :D But, when I use my charisma spell I go from 7 to 15, which would make it increase by 8. If the formula is 20-stat(7)/2, that would equal 13/2, which would be 6.5. So how does my charisma increase by 8?

They were removed because they were all negative to stats

Yeah, Short Skull Swords of Woe are sometimes or always (I'm not sure) cursed. Using a remove curse scroll while wielding it should fix the problem.. then you just have a sword that takes away from all stats. Don't wield it if you can't uncurse it - having a sword like that stuck equipped is a real pain.

Here's something to think about: If you had a cursed sword equiped, and used animate weapon, would it get animated?

Yes. Cursed or not it will still animate. But depending on the stats of the weapon,if may cause strange damage points.

How do you use an "Improve Intelligence Bonus"?

Then it should be changed, because you're not supposed to be able to unwield a weapon that's cursed until it's uncursed.

You wait until stat potions are released.

Actually I tried to use one before and what it does is it adds (Int +1) or something like that to a weapon that you have. You have to have Prepare Weapon to use it also.

I havn't seen anyone glowing recently, maybe it was a disease... but at least I got a witness...

Anyway, something more - I'm level 17 with phys 9 and mental 10, agility 5 - still I can't use enchant armor... why? °°

What are you trying to enchant? If it's a regular item, you wont be able to enchant it passed +2 for now

It's a sliver plate mail of berwean, and in general I just want to try it... so I'm wondering what it needs to be "powerfull enough."

Can't enchant Alch armor, and I believe that counts.

Hm... didn't even alch it... but then again, it didn't work with an ordinary silver plate mail and a golden one wither - all three from the HH.

Don't bother enchanting anything thats not normal (such as 'of berwean'), it probably takes a very high level to even get it to +1, which in comparison to something that could be +4 or +5, is pretty bad.

I tried to enchant a plain golden platemail, and it didn't work... Also, I identified my platemail of berwean (and any other platemail) quite a few times...

ah...anyone know what ring of occidental mages does...and ring of adornment...they do absolutly nothing..o.o

It does nothing, but I think maybe it has hidden powers :P

ring of adournment is kinda like a engagement ring x.x from what I can understand...I was going to ask, I have been trying to get up my personality exp, but its not going so well, I have singing but no monster will actually listen to the singing so I can get the exp, what am I doing wrong?

Get a creature to not listen to you, then keep singing till it is calmed down. I just managed to get dievils to not listen to me... °°

I just learned jumping, from the scroll of hurdling. I was told it allows me to jump fences, how can I do this? Nothing was added to my skills menu.

It's for the 3d version, it doesn't work yet.

I have heard rumours that the effects of the Ring of Adornment are random. I've also heard that they can do something different, if Identified.
Personally, I believe the former is more likely, even though there may be boundaries.
