A tad late here... but just because someone's homophobic, which is their choice, just like you being a bisexual is your choice, should not allow them to be Shogun or leader?

That's...

...Sad?

I can say two simple phrases to defend myself.

If Samurai refuses to enforce the rules of RPing, or even simply the rules of good taste, how dare they call me a hypocrite for one member reacting to Samurai's behavior in like?

I cannot see the logical connection from a->b.

Also Rahz, it was very interesting of you to point out that anyone who has experience of me and knows me to a certain degree can vouch for me.

Wow.

At the risk of sounding arrogant: That simply proves that anyone who knows enough about me to make that kind of judgement about my integrity, knows that my integrity is sound..

Wow.

Thanks, man. I love you proving my point.

I also love how you post messages from when I'm off tag with a stomachache, speaking of levelling.

But wait! The highest levelled person in the game, Boukon, is in your kingdom! And wasn't it just a couple weeks ago that HE was buying immense maps as well? *shocked expression on face*

Someone buying immense maps just shows they're interested in levelling for some reason. Mine happens to be to compete with the so-called "Powergamers" on some level to get it through to their heads that there's more to the game than levels. And, my RP reason to level is to become strong enough to save my wife. For, if she is truly held by Samurai, I will undoubtedly have to face Boukon; and I am not exactly strong enough to do that at this point in time.

*smiles* Rahz, you're my new hero.

Edit: Oh, and a small footnote! These masses were made yesterday, I was laughing quite hard when I read them. They were obviously sarcastic in nature, but quite funny nonetheless!

who wants to run samurai

MKSLAYER 04-26-2003 03:52 AM

tseng and rahz both of you stop cause you are acting like fools i know both of you very well to the extent of a friend and your being total asses =_=

Kaiser2 04-26-2003 05:37 AM

Tseng is acting like that cuz he cares for Huru and Rahz is acting like that to tick Tseng off :\

Kaimetsu 04-26-2003 08:30 AM

Tseng: This anU guy is apparently a terrible roleplayer and should be removed or, at the very least, demoted.
Rahz: Your kingdom is full of terrible roleplayers who should all be removed.

draco5432 04-26-2003 09:52 AM

anU can RP, we do it all the time, and Rahz, he is just a horible leader, he cant RP at all, neither can any of the samurai members, speaking of respawning, sorry, but i do belive during the little "war" we had, i killed the same samurai people about 60 times because they respawned and came back to attack me.

Perhaps he can, but not consistently. Nobody should be acting as he was in that screenshot while they are wearing their kingdom tag.

Kai...not sure if you're familiar with this concept...but there is this emotion, it's called "anger" see...if you're angry, sometimes you might do something without thinking...of course, I'm sure you already knew that...

Yes, but you see, in real life, there are things called "crimes." These people that are "angry" commit crimes without thinking. And you see, they get punished as well.

MKSLAYER 04-26-2003 08:32 PM

Judge_S or what ever your name is congradgulations you won a cookie you have succesfully given all samurai bad names wow you just said i dont RP!!!! un belivable when i always follow RP rules on tag =/

First off, I haven't given Samurai bad names. They've taken it upon themselves to accomplish that task.
Second, why are you? And when did I say that you don't roleplay?

If I got punished everytime I cussed IRL...damn, I'd have a life sentence by now. What you fail to realize, is that the punishment MUST suit the crime.

No excuse. People who cannot control their anger are bad roleplayers.

Kaiser2 04-27-2003 02:47 AM

Kai, then I can officially declare myself a bad RPer, and you a robot, and probably 6 billion other people are now declared bad RPers, since no one can fully control their emotions.

There are plenty of people capable of staying in-character despite their fellows annoying them. Don't assume everybody else suffers from your weaknesses.

Kaiser2 04-27-2003 04:14 AM

Emotion isn't a weakness, and if indeed you play your character right, you'll have an outburst every now and then, sometimes less often, you can't control it, it's part of you, but not a part you can control.

1) Yes it is.
2) I didn't say that it was.

An in-character outburst perhaps, but that's just good RPing. Going crazy, dropping out of character and swearing at stuff is, by contrast, bad RPing. If you can't refrain from doing so then you are a bad RPer.

Kaiser2 04-27-2003 04:48 AM

How can you prove that his character wasn't swearing?

That word should not be used in-character. If you want swears, make up some of your own. And no real soldier would respond in that way if he found that his queen had been captured.

Kaiser2 04-27-2003 04:01 PM

Actually, most soldiers would, if I knew my Queen, who I've served loyaly and faithfully all my life was kidnapped, I don't think I'd be able to suppress all those asterisks.

brock128 04-27-2003 04:37 PM

If sombody killed your dog, you'd probabally swear.
If sombody captured your queen, you'd probabally swear.

Tseng 04-27-2003 04:37 PM

Emotion can be a weakness, but it can also be a strength.

After all, a "passion for their work" drives many great inventors/explorers/researchers. It can be said they love their work. So, perhaps there is a line that can be drawn of where emotion can be a weakness and when it can be a strength?

Personally, I can say I've experienced both of these at different times in my life. Emotions, such as love, can give me strength, while other emotions do cause weakness, such as envy.

Anyway, the other day, I just saw our friend the shogun saying "Look I can **** 100 plats out my ass" then using /drop 100 plats (He was on tag, by the way).

So, in this case I will tend to believe anU when he states that there was something the Shogun said to provoke him into saying that.

I am not currently referring to the swear. I am referring to his refusal to leave the island, despite the threat on his Queen's life. In any case, you and I both know that he was swearing - not his character.

Perhaps I would too, but it doesn't excuse his terrible roleplaying.

Indeed - he should have left. I most certainly agree with this.

Once again, agreed completely.

Now that the errors of his ways have been pointed out to him, he shall be working to reform his behavior. :)

GoZelda 04-27-2003 11:28 PM

Don't you get it? The Dustari guy was trying to get some time so you would die because you don't have much food!

busyrobot 04-28-2003 06:51 PM

Anu should have gotten a screenshot first, but if the Shogun wasn't Rping, just acting like a jerk, I can't fault anu for giving up and swearing too much.

When someone demands you limit yourself by having to act ic that is fine, but when they refuse, and use it as a way to try to manipulate you while they act like a ***** themselves, I give anu a little slack there.

And remember, it's not ooc to not leave the island, if you truly believe no harm will come to the Queen, if you think he's bluffing.

Tseng exposed the fact by calling his bluff, - the Shogun ran like a child.

If they were to kill her, which they may be dumb enough to do, granted, they would bring the wrath of war that would set their continent ablaze to burn for centuries.

GoZelda 04-28-2003 07:23 PM

Yes, the swearing of aNu was bad, but it could be predictable. That he could let the queen die, well, a sacrifice... Even due if leaving the island would set the queen free, i would leave, get the queen and go to the island again :P

Kaiser2 04-28-2003 07:48 PM

Bad RPing is: When they tell you to leave the island, and you refuse, because you're not doing ANYTHING at all on it, you're semi-AFK and eating, and then they attack you when you DO go AFK, kill you, and steal your money...
Thanks to that, I was forced to...erm..."dispatch" of the Walls on Samurai...
