I can easly say Oasis has copied Secret Of Mana item menu, and i have a screenshot of it. Now dont get me wrong, Oasis will rock, but stop bragging on about how Oasis will previal over the other PW's.

I highly doubt whoever made the oasis body sat down with a blank paint document and started off... It wouldn't have even been Graal-style without some sort of refrence.

They aren't using the ripped bodies, get over it.

Ehem. Sorry, but I don't think you represent my opinions best. :p Personally, when I saw that body I was immediately reminded of Oasis. I would be mad too if I found someone using similar graphics to what I have. Infact, anyone would! You too, Warcaptian, would be screaming bloody murder if some other PW just by chance was using similar ideas or whatever else you have that is "unique" and "original" :rolleyes:

It would be like taking Windows or some other propriety-type software and changing some of its code and appearances and calling it original and new. You'd be slapped with a lawsuit so fast your head would spin off your shoulders because you're basically saying that you are the real deal when actually you're scamming people with pirated code.

Detials? Look at the screenshot, and Koni's ss of his q menu. There almost identical. I agree with Koni bout the bodies, becasue when Genesis showed me them i was like, they looks like Oasis bodies, but he said they will be changing them, so does it matter? No, i think not.

Whatever :rolleyes: Squaresoft cannot file a lawsuit just because Konidias is using a ring menu. Its a menu, not a body! Not only that, but SoM and SD3 have been out of circulation for years asside from thier ROM formats.

Its not like Konidias went into the actual code and ripped it line by line and translated it into graal script. :p I guess you should also get on Stefan's case for using a ring menu on 2k1 for the trading-item and hat-trading NPCs :rolleyes:

If my screenshots show material anyone can do, why aren't the playerworlds online anything like it? Because not everyone can do it. I've never said my playerworld is "the best". I definitely know my work isn't the best ever, but I think it's better than most everything I've seen on Graal to date. Unix GLOBALLY BANNED ME from Graal because I argued with him, and Stefan got pissed off at me for making a certain forum post here. Identical in what way? That they are in the form of a RING? OH NO CALL THE COPYRIGHT POLICE!!! My inventory is completely different from SoM's. Other than the fact they are in a damned ring, there is nothing similar. The use isn't the same, the structure isn't the same, the scripting isn't the same, the GRAPHICS aren't the same.

Gyoshi is right, let's take all the ring scripts off of Graal because it's copying SoM. No more trading systems or hat systems or item systems that involve being in the form of a ring! Really, you're being ridiculous. I already stated that I was inspired by SoM to use a ring format for my inventory, I made a post comparing the two systems even. Again, you're being too general about things, I'm talking copying that is so specific, that even the colors are the same.

Speak English please, I can't understand what you're trying to say. Genesis, you don't have what it takes, that was easy to see right away, you get all defensive about graphics that other people copied from Oasis and then immediately turn your "new playerworld" topic into a flame war.

You could have just said the bodies were copied from Oasis and you were making new ones in the first place, but you defended them for quite some time. I can automatically tell how a playerworld will turn out just by looking at the manager. If you quit your project in the thread announcing your project, then you wouldn't have lasted anyway.

I was also asking myself the same question, if you can't even make your own body graphics, I don't want to imagine what the dinosaurs would look like. It would be like a really badly made version of the T-Rex and Iguanadon on Graal Kingdoms. :p

I don't discourage people from making playerworlds, I just try to point out obvious things to save people time. If you just aren't cut out for creating a new world that will compete with the upcoming playerworlds, then don't make a playerworld. Let me tell you, it's tough, it's really tough, and you can't get through it by stealing other people's graphics, paying people to do the work, etc. You're going to have to have the skills to do most of the development yourself if need be. Because there's no way you can rely on staff very much anymore. Most staff just steal other's work and you have no idea where the great graphics are coming from.

My suggestion to you is... Take some time and sit down and plan out this playerworld carefully and in detail. Work out all the player interaction, npc interaction, gameplay, etc. Draw, or have someone draw, some completely original graphics and work from there. Once you're about 50-60% through development, THEN you can show people on the forums.

I'm getting tired of the people that wake up one morning and get a playerworld idea in their head, then run to the forums and tell everyone about it the same day, like it's been in development for a year already. (I know, I did the same thing)

This game is far from my life. I barely play Graal for one, I just work on my playerworld. Gaming is my life though, as it's my career, and I'd rather have gaming be my life, then fast food serving or plumbing or something equally mundane, so yeah, games are my life, I've been playing them for over 10 years.

I respect ur opnion but when people call me ass hats and start rumors about me saying i cant make gfx then ur crazy i will show my work soon just not now its not the time.

My theory, work on your PW, make it the best you can, then simply submit, if you make it, good... then show some screenies. Criticism is good, but on the Graal forums it's more destructive then constructive.
