Don't you get it? Getting to save your attributes is one of the B E N I F I T S of upgrading your account. If you want to have your attributes saved, you upgrade your account, simple.

Well I think that unixmad and stefan are hoping that instead of saying "**** this game" people say "i better upgrade" ;)

No saving account = Account being reset each time you log off, right?

Now.

Account being reset each time you disconnect + Modemers who disconnect every 4 hours or so = No modemers coming to graal

And there are more modemers than cablers, so it isn't wise to do this, I'm afraid.

So buy the full lifetime subscription. Pay more if you want more, simple as that.

Yeah, $15 dollars isn't that much of a sacrifice if you really like Graal (in my opinion at least) , considering that most of the shirts that I buy cost more than that.

I pay a monthly subscription to play p2p servers?
We will have to pay one to playe either 2k1 or 2k2?
What will happen to other p2p worlds?
Will we have to re-register?

Answer to question number 1: Yes, you do. (Or I believe you do, since you're on this forum.)
Answer to question number 2:Huh?:confused: (If you have p2p already you don't need to do anything, I think.)
Answer to question number 3: Hey, that's a good question. Are the other p2p servers classified under playerworlds?

When this new 2k1 is instated is it a basic reset for all accts?

No one I know would pay $15 for the thing. And that's most likely euro, or american, so that'd be $30 AU.

After talking about it back and forth for a while, I think I have to agree with Unixmad - if the players can't be arsed to chip in, we don't need the freeloaders, no matter how much they contribute to the community. Hopefully we'll have it set up in such a way that everyone can upgrade easily in time - I don't reckon he'd do the freeloader wipe before the phone thing gets set up, but if it comes down to that or shutting down...=_=
The phone thing - apparently there's a company that'll set up the 800 number and the voicemail and everything, all the automation, for a monthly fee. Since they track the calling numbers, they can hold people responsible for their own phone bills.Finally getting to the levels - as I understand it, all I have to do is set up some special warps or NPCs on the blank houses, and instead of it sending you to a static level on the main server, it sends you to a "pw" house, some player's personal storage area. Hopefully it'll be automated too, so I don't have to change it every time someone leaves the server and deletes their house and all...there is a finite amount of space on Classic, after all. For those houses there will apparently be another automated system by which you can bring your classic stats in, but can't bring anything out...sorta like if you remember the Mantara bug where you could bring the trees out...like that, but intentional this time. ^_^
Not sure if there would be server-select PWs, but I imagine there could be player-house PWs...

Remember that idea about NPCs taking over for players when they log off, so you can keep doing your job even when you're not online...making it impossible to raid a kingdom at 2 in the morning when nobody's there to defend it?

I have an interesting question though. If servers such as G2k1, and G2k2 will be accessable via monthly subscription, how will the extra features, such as the forums, and Graal's mailing service be handled? Will that be on a monthly subscription basis, too?

I think by monthly the mean the normal subscription, becuase that goes in monthly subscriptions already. 3 month, 6 month, 9 month (?), 12 month. :)

But... all playerworlds non-P2P? At the moment that sounds fine, but what if there comes a PW more popular than G2K2?

I think non-subscription based would be a better way of putting it :P

Anyway, what I'm mostly wondering about is if my grim_squeaker_x account which used to be upgraded will automattically get the lifetime subscription or not, after all it is not currently upgraded anymore, though it does count as a bought account. (As in, that I cannot get ghost mode on any of the free servers)

A BIG decrease in players isnt nessasarly(sp) a bad thing, less players less lag no? Less newbie playerworlds that last not even a month. More close friends, with the current ppl playing graal everyone is spread out so much less players more of the p2p players talk and get to know each other making it a better playing enviroment :D
