Some newworld and forums stuff got leaked, that's
why some people probably have the Terrain Generator. It's a program to make gmaps, maps with fractal generated heights. In the game you need to set the gmap as map (there are 2 secret ways of doing that :) ) and then open a level that is part of the map. In the Graal editor you have terrain grids which can be moved up/down to edit the terrain without needing to open the Terrain Generator for little changes. Servers need special permissions to be able to use gmaps. For normal playerworlds its probably not good to use it because you need a lot of gfx and stuff because the old tiling doesn't work (only for inside houses). |

Hoi Stefan!
You should make it so you can define the exact height of each grid thing in the editor, because you cannot do really flat stuff without terraingen :/ It's possible to do "3d levels" without terrain gen, you know... |
Loriel you know the Ctrl+mouse move thing to make
things fit on integer values, and make things flat (or did you mean something different) ? |
Stefan, I pm'ed you on how I did it.

How actually? Nobody tells me about stuff >.< |

As far as I can tell it only makes it so the number values will stay on 1 instead of doing like 1.235235? |
Yep, but then you can easily make stuff flat, which would be impossible without that
|
Xerphier, are you still working on Core Factor?

Don't use MSN anymore, but I'll get it up and running again. I have to go for like 20 min or so but I will come back on after |
Bah. Anybody can make a gmap. All they need to know is how the .gmap files work, and the script command that will make the level use the gmap. Of course, I have already figured all that out ^_^
(Wee! I'm bragging!) |
:(
poor alex doesnt know how to do it alex is sad :( |
