i started in 2000 i dunno about versions me not some superdupeer number person sheesh.

Well, after much deliberation and discussion with veterans, oldbies, midbies, and newbies alike, I have fomulated a chart which is based on todays date of "starting" Graal.

VERSION CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM


a. I believe that if a player started and has continually played Graal since Zelda Online, then, he or she is considered a veteran. On that same token, if a player has started on ZO, but quit during ZO and joined at a much later date, then, he/she is not considered a veteran. You must be active on the game at least once per 5 months in order to maintain and keep your "age" unless you've obtained special stature on the game such as Galen, Azrael, PACHUKA, Ultimate Weapon, Mandi, Fuitad, etc. have.

b. Oldbies are people who have started on version 1.2 or somewhere before that, but not including version 1.1.

c. Midbies are those who have joined during the 1.28-1.33 era. v1.33 revision2 players are excluded from this categorization.

d. Newbies are after the v1.33 rev2.


Now that we have that out of the way, theres a second classification that most people seem to use. It's known as the "year" system.

TIME CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM


a. If you started Graal when it was first introduced as Zelda Online, and when it was introduced as "Graal Online" and 5 months afterwards, then you are by default a veteran. So basically, more than 3 years.

b. If you've been playing Graal for more than 2 years, you are considered an oldbie, however, with a certain limitation. You had to have been playing consistantly, and without leaving Graal for more than 3 months. If you have done that, then you cannot be considered an oldbie.

c. Midbies are more than a year, but less than 2 years with a 6 month limitation.

d. Newbies are less than a year with a 9 month limitation.

Anyway, don't complain about this chart I made, because, I've discussed it with many players from all 8 of the classifications, and they agree with me, so, go complain to them. :)

For the record, I started 4 March 2000.

i started about 1.4ish according to my friend
i never even noticed the version when i first installed it
it ment nothing to me so there was no real point in remembering it
respect doesnt come from what version you started
it comes from your actions and how you treat people

Which is about 3 days to a week after nemesis started cause he made my first account ;) (My ISP had an ip ban on making accounts >:( (I email Geovanie (accounts admin back then) and he did... NOTHING =D so i had to get on another ip set my isp had (effort +) hehe)
anyway

BUT i hate having any sort of class, newbie midbie oldbie, we all started sometime so if you call someone newbie your a loser because you were also a newbie sometime.

Dammit! If only I had continued to follow Graal after it had changed from Zelda Online...I could have been a vet. :D

But seeing as how I lost contact...I started again in November 2000 (sometime around Thanksgiving). :)

11 you make a stupid comment
12 you make a comment that makes sence
13 you post on this forum
14 you dont post on this forum
15 you dont know who Stefan is
16 you know who Stefan is
17 you work for a non - p2p server
18 you work for a p2p server
19 you dont work for any server
20 you are an administrator (of any kind)
21 you arnt an administrator (of any kind)
22 you ask questions
23 you are told you are a newbie by someone.
24 you just started playing

That just about covers everyone.

Am I like the only vet that still plays?

Who the hell cares? You say not to judge with hours, then why judge by version? You could be from Zelda Online and have less intelligence or any types of skills by someone new maybe coming in today! Like someone said.... (Sorry! I forgot who you are! I remember 3 letters and a F in it ;))

You're only a newbie if you're holding a sign that says NEWBIE on it.

The proper (in my opinion of course:) )definitions, by year not worthless version:

newbie: not yet recieved password to one year
midbie: one year to two years
oldbie: two years to 3.5 or so
super-oldbie: Stefan

I started playing right when Graal 1.41 was released. I think Newbie terms someone who is new to the game and doesn't know anything at first. After they play for a month or so, they should know everything by then and not be a newbie any more.

I started in Januari 2001 and I still don't consider myself a newbie and I never call someone newbie unless they are new to the game. And I consider one year quite a long time so :p.

So I'm an Oldie on my old account...? Hmm...... it's odd... I still have less hours than some new ppl though.
