Hyped 12-14-2001 07:45 AM

Arg, I dont like this idea at all but ill go along with it and see how it works out.

psihunter 12-14-2001 07:45 AM

Areas that need to be watched

1: Bomboria
2: Baking shop
3: Mining area
anything else can go on a Muti-task division

spi 12-14-2001 07:45 AM

i dont like the idea, keep it how it is

The message board thing in the Police office is how that was to be sorted out, but noone other than myself uses.

a) I just said you can jail people; they will go to the zip of the person who jailed them (the captain, recruit, chief, whatever).

b) Then, you go and enjoy your life fully... while I sit for an hour every day doing some court trial to try and resolve the problem. A jury will decide the fate.

Torankusu 12-14-2001 07:49 AM

Let them think it is more organized. They are only wasting their time.

Usually people are only in jail for 10-20 minutes for small things, but now they will have to wait for a while then go through an hour long trial, just to decide their fate?

Well, people pay for their account. If they want a trial to possibly lighten their sentence or be freed, then they will be able to contact the court (which is me since I'm the judge) for a hearing.

Police don't need to worry any further.

However, I do suggest that captains "do" hand the culprits over to the correct zip they committed their crime in. If its a national problem (such as "hacking" or so), then hand them to Bogenera.

I'll try to get you a really nice npc for jailing... k? Then you can go into menus and stuff for sorting everything out. And you can view details of the jailed culprit such as where they did it, what they did, witnesses, etc.
It'll be good. :)

Then after this I'll go work with Torankusu and try to work with him to improve FAQ to something he agrees on.

This is dumb, because most jury members (who knows who) will be like "KILL HIM AND TAEK HIS BOMBY AND ALL HIS CASH MONESY AND GIVE TEHM 2 THE PUBLC!"

Not if you free them....
That is for the people who constantly PM RCs because they have been in jail for 3 days and don't know why.

I'm sure you're all confused.. I'm starting to do it to myself. I probably screwed some information up somewhere in here too.

Alkaren knows what it will be like too... it should be fine.

I'm sure you can go to sleep tonight without worrying about a police system.. unless it totally screws up your life and everything, you must just ignore it and let it run on its own.

thats because you dont have to follow this 'organized' way of working.

Hyped 12-14-2001 07:59 AM

Err.. this might just work out if its really organized, who knows, just give it a chance WC.

Torankusu 12-14-2001 07:59 AM

no, sorry.
FAQ answer questions. I am not going to create little groups of FAQs that only answer certain questions.

Police need to watch:
Market Place,
Mining Areas,
Event Ares (when going on)
Roleplaying Areas (when RP events are going on.)
Trades.

I think we can handle it ourselves.

Graal/Police is my life.

psihunter 12-14-2001 08:01 AM

Each playerhouse should have a mailbox

And everyso offen 5 or so of the house owners must attend jury

There also should be a lawyers office if Trials are going to be a big thing

Not many people are on all the time though. I try to be on as much as possible, and I hope that problems can be resolved by normal police members.

I do not want "zips" to be part of kingdoms. They can rule the way they choose, and if they need other such help they may contact one of us.

Also, whoever it is saying they should be police captain of the samurai area: No, never, not while I am still around, and over my dead body.

Well, it is a confusing process and i guess im the Captian of Bomboria, the biggest part of Graal 2001. Please don't PM me asking to join my force, i havn't picked anyone yet.

you cussed me out on police tag so that I had to put you on ignore...

How in the hell you manage to get some "job" like that, I will never know...

_0AfTeRsHoCk0_ 12-14-2001 09:15 AM

What are some of you talking about? This is a brilliant idea. Think of it this way:

With zips, we will be able to have Police be accountable for their actions entirely. Most police may hang out at Bomboria or something but if someone is doing a crime in Antora than the Captain for that area is responsible for what happens. It will certainly cut down on crimes/scams etc. Response time will be much quicker too (hopefully).

In addition it's adding role-playing elements to the server we so desperately need. Don't tell me everyone likes to work their guts out just to get a hat then run off and have... nothing to do?

I would like to add a couple suggestions though. Antago should have the power to warp a player into the court house so he HAS to show up for court. Lots of people refuse to show up for court and that's how the police system suffers. Also with the Antora Appendage zip add the mining places so you can cut down on stealers, this way people will think twice before a "hit" and run

Uhm. This way we can have more police, yet with a higher divisional sectetory to seperate each position.

So each area will have a Police npc that runs around it like Manny and Paul.
Since Harmonia and Bomboria already have one, we just need a few more. :) There will be special stations for each police force (or zip).

Solai is just a name I give to things that have anything to do with my "system of lands and isolation". It's an acronym and unimportant. Just a way to name the new system.

This will also give more power to captains, yet less for policemen. Then the prosecution government, Bogenera (it's just the location.. or capital rather. Like Washington, D.C. and Area51), will be the higher of Solai.

Each Captain is allowed to hire police -- with the acception of a "maximum".
In Mt. Antora alone, 20 police can be hired by Craig.

The more police an area has, the higher authority it will have.

If I can get this NPC to work that controls the guildcodes and names (since Stefan added a maximum length to guildcodes.... grrrrrrrr) by setting the player's #n (rather than #g.. since, like I said, Stefan added a max length of monograms (or characters) in each guildcode), then Solai can start to go into effect.

The only person being uncooperative (though he is now) is Sparkplug... =/ so I'm not sure HOW we'll manage the "tags". Perhaps Stefan could get on the NC and set it up or something. It would be nice to allow all the "captains" to appear in the Staff list to (and the chiefs)..

As for the Judge, I merely just do court sessions :) and.. lovingly enough, executions!

Max Police:
Craig - 20 police
Nastazio - 15 police
Iracious - 20 police
Enishi - 12 police
Soto - 7 police
Sparkplug - 10 police (although, this "is" the leading police force even though it's a low police number)

Should there be typos or anything, I don't care. :) I'm not reading this over

I like it seeing more info
sorry abiut earlier antago :(
Hope you can fix the npc's and stuff

And that is why you'll get nowhere. Because you apparently somehow conclude that any change "has" to equal to a current change just copied into another organization -- which is not only totally screwed, but almost inane.

It's obvious you can't split FAQ successfully. There is several things you "can" do though.
Otherwise, I'll just, like now, continue to push its removal from Graal2001. We do not need it.. especially since you even have me on ignore -- oddly enough, now, I can't "ask you fequently asked questions".

Get with the program ;)

Wow.
That is a big number of police, antago. Sixty-four, If you don't include the captains.
Say that the max # of people that play is 150.

64/150 = 42.6%

Almost half of the server is going to be police.

no, none of the captains will hire that many, except maybe SOTO.
