Anyone under the age of 18 is a minor/child(not sure about other countries besides the US), whether people of that age think so or not, but it isn't the 16-18 year olds that I personally am worried about, it's the younger ones. Not to mention the owners of these forums are liable for what is posted. Yes, they could put a disclaimer of some sort I guess, but I am thinking that they WANT a children friendly forum. Just because children see things in real life, or other places on the internet, doesn't mean they should be allowed here. There are few places that children, or their parents can go to where they dont have to worry about a lot of garbage.

My opinion would be no different if I did know him well.

Yes I was. But shutting down a server and posting pornographic images are very different.
