By the home folder do you mean it's in ~/ or ~/.graal/graal4/? I believe it has to be in your graal root directory to work but I could be wrong.

Edit: Nevermind, It works fine for me out of the graal root directly.

Edit2: Does the launcher look anything like this?

I just right clicked on the .exe file and hit 'create link' for version 6...

Right click on the desktop and click on Create Launcher then browse for the executable and see if that works instead.

Edit: If that fails you could try and create a shell script on the desktop to execute the V6 Client.

Are you sure? I can use the Linux V6 Client on different computers without being blocked by the pc id blocker.

We it has been unblocked a few weeks ago, it was limited before.

Sorry, newbie question. Where's the v6 Beta? Not seeing it here. Or is the newest version the update. Sitting at 5.21.

It hasn't "openly" been released for Linux yet. I don't know why since Stefan develops it on Linux in the first place.

I would send you a binary (since there is no account restriction anymore) but I only have a 64-bit binary and most people are on 32-bit.

Yeah. I'm using 32-bit. I'll just wait my turn then. I only ask because I'm also using Win7 and upgraded from v5>v6 on there and performance greatly improved and am hoping for the same results in the linux beta.

We have uploaded the first public beta for Linux v6 (5.321). This is quite experimental, so it might not work for a lot of people. The zip is only containing the binary, no graphics files or so. This is for 64 bit only right now, the 32 bit version will follow later:

I need some feedback for following things:
- would it be ok if the client is not shipped with any gfx (just downloads on first login)?
- right now the client is still scanning the current directory and subdirectories, except if it's put in a bin directory; should this be changed and always ignore the current (binary) directory?

I don't think you need to include the graphics either, downloading them is fine. I will also say the last few windows open betas have run well with wine ^^

It's pretty pointless to run Graal in wine when it works on Linux to begin with.

The version for Linux 32 bit is now up:

This is now version 5.322, the 64 bit version has also been updated. The difference to version 5.321 is that it's now supporting URL redirects, e.g. when linking to a tinyurl image or facebook profile picture or similar.

Those have been missing in the windows version since the first beta too...

New versions 5.327 for Linux 32 bit and 64 bit have been uploaded:

- Added undo/redo functionality to GuiMLTextEditCtrl, by default 16 undo steps, you can increase by setting undostacksize = number; the undo/redo is working with normal shortcuts: Ctrl+Z for undo, Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z for redo
- Support for more body colors on client-side (you can e.g. do for (i=0; i<5; i++) player.colors[i] = "indigo"); server-side support will be added when all clients are switched to v6; you will appear black to other players when using the extended colors; all html colors are supported (20 default colors + 143 html colors)
- Fixed the indigo html color
- Improved the speed of GuiMLTextCtrl.reflow(), especially for syntax highlighting
- Fixed some problems where multi-line text in external windows was not correctly refreshed
- Doesn't deselect text if a text field loses the focus or you copy text from it
- Improved support for wba-styles: uses them for drawing GuiTextEditSliderCtrl, and reads the color of the start bar text (GuiTextCtrl.stylesection="Clock"); you can see a new gui style VPlusBlue in the options
- added Verdana bold to the login server
- Fixes a bug that could crash the game on login when a server uses the default weapons (Bow, Bomb etc.)
- Correctly animates showimgs even if the NPC which is showing them is itself not visible
- Doesn't crash anymore when a gani animation is hiding showimgs

It also fixes some problems with Copy&Paste and Drag&Drop on Linux.

Sound playback is about .5s behind. Running Kubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat with pulseaudio. I have only noticed the delay with Graal, all other applications are correct, so I know everything is configured correctly on my system.
