All Graphics Administration members, That cove is very handy and as I only have this GFX job now I can do more.. such as looking for copyright images on player worlds.. I have been looking around player worlds for the past week and found a lot that has to be changed! And the server staff don’t care about it.. I don’t see NightLord on Classic much.. and I don’t think he follows it at all :(

Me and James205 are the ones who usually log onto other severs in search of copyrighted materials, but my other team members need warpto on classic :o

Yes, I do not think NightLord and Mr. Bear as "(Chief) Gaming Officers" are needed at all. NightLord is a nice person, and I think he is not doing his job too bad, but this staff position is not needed in my opinion.
Bear should stay at Classic administration...

Why is nobody allowed to update levels on G2k1? I doubt it hurts at all...


And anyways, I do not think that GFX team needs any admin powers at all, same with Head Level maker, Events Admin etc. on G2k1.

ART is also not needed in my humble opinion. There is other staff that could do this job with no problem. (Like me if I still had my RC4) >.<

All I need (and have) is warpto, so I can warp to levels that I need to snapshot so I can edit them. (like I did with the market)

The levels that I can't reach since they are nothing but trees of course :)

update level would be nice to have.. but there isn't a ton of use for it on 2001 except to update a level if there has been any changes, and thats stefans job.. of course I wish someone would move the stinking elephant out of the farming land because its blocking a lot of farming space in the 16 apple field.. oh stefan, about farming.. you massed that there are trees that produce 20 apples.. yet the highest I see is 18.. was that a typo?

Yes I agree, I think people who use it should get it. I had all my powers taken away in a second =/ I can't do part of my job now, it's gone. Really gfx is a staff possition, and I don't know if it's important or not I like doing my job and I would like to do the other part of my job.

I don't think I have anything too constructive to put into this topic, but I will give it a shot.

Well, Right now NightLord told me he has to find a replacement in his irl job because its only school and work right now for him, so untill he does, he said that he won't be on alot, as for Mr. Bear, I don't see him on that much, and the only people that seem to be helping graal in any way are the Multimedia department (Levels gfx ect.) Loriel (did :() And Stefan, witch we know has a job and trys to make alot of time for graal, :( and Sadly enough, Police seem to do a better job at "Adminastrating" Than some of the admins, *not namming names*
How can Graal function when there are high staff, that don't do alot? I know school just started for *alot* of people, but if that jepordizes their jobs, that they should no longer hold that position, because this is an online job, so ither you have the time or no time.

I can see why ART was created, their aren’t a lot of people on Graal2k1 with RC or even a high enough RC to be able to reset attributes.. so it is to save time, and give the option to players to store their money, NPCs etc..
Loriel would you have the time to hold grelet and NPCs for someone?

From my point, having warp and update on classic is something that is taken for granted.. but from people's view from Graal2k1 server they are very different, maybe because Classic is non-p2p and Graal2k1 is p2p and rules are different.. their are more people on Classic than 2k1, and most staff members on Graal2k1 just play Graal2k1 or another server other than classic. So they don't share the same views as myself Kawii and James205..

It would keep the team more active if part of our job was to find copyright images on other servers as well as Classic and Graal2k1.. this would take the straight off of other staff, and save you some legal battles..

Yes classic is bigger and made by more people etc.

I think art is needed...it does'nt hurt to have 2 more staff members
to take the word off everyone else. Gamer officer thing is like

High admins *DO* do a lot, like the account managers contego
and merlin have to awnswer 200-300 e-mails a day at
[email protected] and other things you just don't see
the behind the scenes work etc......Mr.Bear's computer broke when he was installing a fan...a screw driver got a away and sparks flew :)
A *LOT* of what the admins do is answer emails.....Only some like Police Chief, ART , Events Team etc have to actually be on Graal a *LOT* to do their job right....

also birdbird stefan knows as well mr. bear's computer crashed and he just had to buy a new one merlin confermed it (he lives sort of near bear)

I didn't say anything bad aobut mr Bear, I know that his comp broke, so thats why I just said I don't see him on much, but he is on aim all the time, besies that, I know Merlin and Contego do alot, Did I say anything about them? I am talking about in game, stuff that attract players, ART is not really need, there could be an ingame account reset, because if warp can be run off the npc server with no rights, than I gues a reset can be as well, If a person wants his stuff to be held, thats not right, if you reset your account, its your own fualt, you have to go run out and get the npc's again, so you get a friend to give you your money/items back, I don;t think it should be an adminastrators job to hold items for a player.
Most of the jobs for the admins could be done with npcs and the npc server to make the jobs esier, mail pms, telling the players that your pm will be answerd when the admin has the time and such, No body wants to answer pms about adminastration and accoutns and and admin stuff when in game unless they come on for that reson, (thats all the time ;-p) But I just think, I think, I think that that...that.... =/ most of the staff are here for a pourpose, most do their jobs, but some don't *not namming no one* and all I am saying, even if they have school, and they don't have alot of time, Graal is a job that you have to be dedicated to, even with school, so, "If you don't have the time, you don't have the job"

We dont hold their items when we reset.....
The only thing it holds is onlinetime/kills/deaths....the reset gets reset :)! What if Stefan did make an npc that resets accounts?? A bug comes along and messes the npc up...Everyone's account gets reset...no one plays anymore.....:I doubt everyone wouldn't play anymore....but they would be mad ;)

I know this might be a stupid question.. but are daily backups of accounts made? I mean, if something ever did happen that got all the accounts reset, and since this is P2P, people would be highly upset that they lost all their hard earned stuff due to a bug or glitch.. Maybe every few hours there are backups made? I mean, I'm sure some things would be bad about that idea.. but not really.. it's a lot better than everyone getting wiped out and not getting anything back. :)

I have a lot of time I can dedicate to Graal because I have recently graduated from school, and I am making most of my income from the net anyway. I make more money than most people that go out and work 9 to 5 jobs so I'm happy with my situation. I could probably handle an admin job pretty well. I must have put over 2000 hours into Graal, and quite a lot of staff time from classic and 2001.

Yeah there are some admins now that don't do anything.. I remember one admin (not saying who) that never replied to pm's or if he did, he would give some reply like "I'm busy" or "not right now" or "I don't feel like it". We need game officers that can commit themselves to work for a certain minimum of hours per day, and do their job while they are "working".

Well, I didn't mean to insult the condition of the staff. I missdirected my thoughts. It is very difficut for me to put my thoughts and emotions to paper, If anyone got any misleading information form my pervious posts, thats not what I meant to say, :( I am sorry for my opinyons before, very inacurate discripton of what I was trying to say, So this is what I was really tring to say,

The staff situation is doing their jobs fine, I did not mean to direct my argument in their directions, its the in game aspects itself. Such as adding new features, items, and attractions to graal. I realize now that this argument has been brought up many many times before, but how can you attract more people, when there is only one person that can add to the game? (yes Stefan) The adminastration is doing great, but its not the adminastration I am talking about, its the things that attract players, the things that make people wanting to come back for more, the things that prevent hate threads on the bords, and costomers frizzing about things that could be helped. Graal needs constant in game additions, not just things here and there. Right now the game is mostly run on player to player interaction for entertainment, and mindless botton pressing for money, even though gralets make the world go round, one day people might realize that gralets are not life, and eventualy demand more satasfaction from the server. Stefan, you are always stressed over graal because you put all the work on yourself and not on your staff. Your staff are as capable as your staff can be, and you could have a bit more trust in them, because graal cannot be run by one single man, its a team effort.

Thats all I think I have to say about this matter now. I appologze for anything else that I have said reguading the amout of work and dedacation the staff has, :( I can only say that I did not mean to do any harm to anyones emotions, insult their abblitys, or abblity to preform. Mr Bear is now back, and now he is training his staff on most of the tools provided, In a few weeks they will be capable of handling their jobs to the fullest of their abblitys, but you need to start to trust.

Birdbird, you're right, but it isn't exactly easy to trust someone with that much power.. I mean there are corrupt POLICE.. and they barely have power at all.. Nearly all staff do something corrupt with their powers.. and a lot of times, no one finds out about it..

Like when I was FAQ on classic long ago I remember some FAQ members would purposely send newbies and people they didn't like to detention.. I mean seriously.. if most people can't even use a detention npc without being corrupt, how many people could handle being able to upload things to the server and update levels that shouldn't be updated yet.

One reason I believe stefan doesn't give out that kind of power is because things are more organized with only one person running the main area. If other staff had the power to upload things like stefan, we would end up with miscommunications, stuff uploaded when it has bugs, things that don't go together properly.. etc..

Imagine one day "staff member #1" adds a new job, and later that day "staff member #2" doesn't get any notice of the job and accidentally uploads his levels over the new ones.. That could pose as a problem :(

Of course I think a small team of dedicated admins that worked closely together could probably be a really good thing for Graal. :)

Personally, I think the best idea is to sell administrative positions for real money.
Cyberjeouer would get more income and nobody would get a position they don't deserve.
And if they don't do their job, it's their own loss, a complete waste.

Yeah I don't think anyone wants to pay to work. Let alone get fired and lose money in the process.. Too many arguements would start because of people saying they paid to work for graal and got fired.. It's bad enough with people complaining about paying to play graal and stuff happens that doesn't go their way.

And stefan, I'm always open for an admin job you know ;)

We allready pay for work. We have to buy an account, and in turn, if we devote ourselves and dedicate our work, we become Administrators. Now then, I'm not sure what the requirements to get paid for work is, but ya never know..

Of course it would be weird to pay to do work but obviously people want to work very hard and they always complain about it.

Nobody would ever have a right to complain about administrators who don't deserve their jobs anymore because they would have all paid fair and square for the prestige of carrying a meaningless title in a video game.
Don't ask me what motivates people.

The only problem is, if no work got done and not enough people were buying staff positions, then it would be difficult to fill their places.

But still, if people want to argue so much about it, you have to wonder why they desire to work so much. And according to the principles of economics, if demand is high and supply low- as is the case with Graal privileges- than the price must rise.

Well, currently, staff positions are free. Which means, in order for prices to rise, people must pay to work.

But then people like Ice Pick would control Graal pretty much. =/
