Oh, final note. That "sosad" image. I believe that was one of our LATs who did that ACCIDENTLY, and forgot to fix it, or something. I hadn't noticed/seen it, so I don't know.

Providence will be good, they have Cali and Bird_Bird touching up the levels. It's hard to have a successful launch when you're a new server. Give them some time I'm sure it's gunna be great.

I would touch up there levels as a (LAT) or something! or no job at all! I am good at levels!

The first few days I was playing providence because I was just happy and I know Tyne was gonna make an awesome server (remember kharlia tyne! I was a dark dragoon and stuff. such fun!). I was hoping I could get a job on the server but I never did. I just practically sat back and watched as other people got the job and most I didn't even know them. One of the GPs gets fired (I knew it would eventually come because he was a newbie) and I was hoping for a job. I never got the job and I felt so betrayed by my buddy tyne so thats why I just don't feel comfortable playing in providence any more. Not to mention their stupid ass GPs who jail me for defending myself by pkers. I'm still bummed out. Have fun working on the server cali....:(

The reason that "sosad" image and NightLord's screenshot look that way is due to the fact that you aren't downloading Providence's tree.gif. If you were, the tree would overlap the building for a realistic over-the-top effect that looks quite cool. If you would like, I can take a screenshot...

I don't feel like editing my earlier post, so I'll just do it this way.

In addition to what I said earlier, I have to say I'm thoroughly upset with some of you. Especially konidias. I've always liked Providence because it has a wonderful RPing environment. Quite frankly, I love it, compared to Graal 2001. Role Playing occurs on Providence every day. All the time. I have had alot of fun RPing on Providence on Jova alone, and I can't wait until the other islands are built(like Malak said, THROUGH ROLEPLAYING!) so that I can go there and adventure and explore.

So the level quality isn't super-ultra maddeningly good. Does that matter? The fact that levels are well done and work for an RPing environment is good enough for me, and many others, but that's not everything. Levels are being touched up and fixed everyday. Already, the main Jova levels have been changed with better looking houses, and there are new additions very often. So don't complain about levels, children.

Oh no! The map isn't updated and bodies aren't setable! SO WHAT? I don't see the need to set bodies all the time, considering what's coming to Providence in the future. Read Malak's post if you want details on that. Do you want the map to be updated after every little tile is added? Please...We'll update the map when there are signifigant changes to the landscape. Providence has a big world, and you can't just update the map after every little house or tree is added. So in that respect, calm yourselves and just wait.

And lastly, as for saying Providence neds to be taken down: Pathetic. The fact that Providence is the second most popular pay to play server next to Graal 2001 should tell you something. People don't really care that much about levels as long as they have a fun experience RPing and playing the game. So, be quiet, because your arguments are unfairly biased.

That's my abridged take on the entire Providence situation, thanks for reading.

the only thing bad about providence is that i was yelled at on both of my p2p accounts as soon as i got on

I think you have to come up with past history of your role playing character, take that written story, show it to an admin. Then if the admin likes it, they invite you.
The invite system is like a party with a bouncer, you don't want people in the party that you don't think would get along with each other.

I like Providence, it's fun.. if only I could do something as a cleric... Really, what I'm wanting is the map image...seeing the Classic Graal map on my screen bothers me (perhaps because I'm not playing classic.) Though, I would like that tree image also, so the tree doesn't look like som tiling error. :)
