Right now there are stats for exp and kills, what other stats would you like to see?
I have though of may be separate kills stats for each planet, to make it interesting to play the other maps.

Make it so you get EXP for each weapon you use! So it can be like "Best Handgun User" and stuff. :)

Would give a reason for using weapons which are not so famous :) Can probably add a lot of new stats, just need to code some menu for that i guess

You could have the stats from Zone on a webpage, listing like the top 100 or something. I think you used to have something like that for classic graal too! ^^

You could allow proficency's in weapons, based on kills/usige/aim etc with a weapon. Less delay time between shots, however very small, like .1 per 500 kills with a weapon, or reload time (for appripers and such handguns). You get the idea, whatever the weapons downfall is, allow a proficency to slightly balance it out.

How about ranks not just for killing... maybe ones like
Most Kills While Staying at Base (Ircia)
or as suggested earlier
Best Medic
or maybe most kills without using medkits

Those would probably be cooler if they are medals that you earn and people can see when they view your stats...

Heh, then some people could work toward trying to get less common medals that are not listed on the forums anywhere.

Examples:

*A medal that you earn when you get 5 consecutive wins on Koth while competing against all 3 other teams for each win (like, there is 3 other teams actively trying to take the base also all those rounds).

*A medal for killing somebody who's bounty managed to grow past 500 or 1000, etc.

*A medal for getting double or triple kills off of landmines you laid within a specified period of time between each other.

I think that medals shouldnt be awarded at all on maps unless there is a certain minimum player participation during that round.

I've only known one to get even as high as 300 and that was Neo. There's no humanly possible way without hacking to get a bounty that high >_<

500 and 1000 bounty is nearly impossible to get....thats way too high...and ive seen very very few people who have even reached 250 bounty...Gambet reached 300 bounty the other day and I think tao has also, not sure. Theirs a few good players on Zone. Fun to watch them fight. ^^

You should get exp for a certain weapon so that you get bonuses for that and so that people begin to specialize in one or two things. For example say I get level 2 so and so gun. I'd get something like more ammo capacity, higher dmg, faster fire speed, or maybe more accuracy.

Yes would be interesting to add some kind of exp for each weapon. The simpliest to implement would probably to increase the damage taken if you are experienced in the weapon. If you don't use the weapons for some time then it should drop again so that people cannot become expert in all weapons at once.
Some weapons could also give more advantages when levelling up than others, e.g. appirces wouldn't increase a lot, but weapons like flamethrower or G18 would become better in comparions with the popular weapons after some time.
Actually you already get some experience when using weapons - you get better knowledge about when you can use the weapon efficiently and what you should avoid, e.g. with DH18 you must try to get close to the enemy and then fire rapidly, but avoid being attacked by more than one enemy, while with the shotgun you can sometimes attack more than one player from distance, but must keep care to not be attacked by a fast pistole.

But in an ideal world you'd get better at aiming, knowing where to aim (inflicting more damage), knowing how to hold the gun so you can move more efficiently, etc.

I think basing it on time would kind of annoy people - they'd be reluctant to play casually because their weapon stats would degrade. As an alternative, you could set a cap on weapon experience points (say, enough to max out two weapons). If the player hasn't yet reached his cap, using a weapon increases his experience with that weapon. If he has, it redistributes points from the other weapons.

That way, people are forced to specialise, which makes for more interesting combat (people can't change weapons to suit their opponent).

I suggest something like that but it's only temporary, like as soon as you go back to the dropship, the weapon goes back to regular strength.
