I know this isn't my type of stuff, but i'm seriously trying to get the hang of it.

I'm trying to get a river to flow into a npc waterfall, but it doesn't quite look right. (please don't comment on the ground stuff...i haven't even gotten to that yet...:D )

I'm sure you know about the obvious error in the river, so I'll ignore that :x The mouth of the waterfall is FAR too small. Unless you design your own graphics for the waterfall, you should also have deeper (not deepest) water leading into it, otherwise the color scheme simply doesn't match up, to me at least. Also, the river should have a bit more activity (tiling, etc) in it... give it the appearance of a river flow. Just open things up a bit more and throw a bit more creativity into it.

I dont have much practice with that, but look at this and you might get some ideas. Hope it helps.

Hey: not bad (there's a tiny error on the side where you need another tile or 2.

That one's much better. Only thing I can add now is that you may want to put a bit more deep water into the river just to make it look more natural.

Just to help you:

More deep water
Less strait edges in the river

hope it helps =)

Much better still, but you might want to get rid of that one area of deepest water in the river bed. Aside from that, the bottom looks great. Change up the top section a bit, while you're at it, the very beginning of the stream is a bit too straight still.
