i wanted to trigger an event from another weapon. and whenever i reference the weapon, for whatever reason this works:

temp.test = "Personal/khortez/Error_Report".DisplayMSG("test3");

but this doesn't?

temp.npc = "personal/khortez/Error_Report";
temp.MSG = temp.npc.DisplayMSG("test");

and this doesn't work either:

temp.npc = findweapon("personal/khortez/Error_Report");
temp.MSG = temp.npc.DisplayMSG("test");

Do i have to type out the weapons name every time or is there anything easier?

It's case-sensitive.

temp.npc = findweapon("Personal/khortez/Error_Report");

should work fine.

and here i spent my time testing out different possible methods before figuring it made no sense. only to find out case sensitive issues is my thing. oh well, anyways thanks
