A conservative approach to item distribution, and ultimately, stats, hasn't gotten GK far in the last 15 years. Especially in the last 8.
I think we're definitely at a stage where 'End Game' means absolutely nothing since levelling has become so easy. So why be restrictive when it comes to items? Players farming to land a unique combination of prefix and suffix on a new shield will get people to play, if only temporarily. So what that the old gear becomes inferior, what are we holding onto at this point?
Everything should be accessible until a reset is made, if ever. Then the path to Max level can be redrawn, spawn rates and drop rates revisited to make a sensible timeline for players. With no gear, other than those which are purely aesthetic boosting, being out of reach. |
